Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party search provider that operates the tool. Traverse County Released Inmates does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its receipt and handling of the submitted query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email or submit a contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. A message is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement calls for disclosure. Do not send sensitive custody, financial, medical, or identity documents through an ordinary message.

Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may help show how visitors move through the site and support analytics or advertising functions. Browser settings can reject or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some tools or preferences to work differently.
Reasons Data Is Used

Official and Outside Links
Links may lead to the Traverse County Sheriff and Jail, Minnesota court records, MNDOC, VINE or Haven, BOP, ICE, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination's privacy notice and data practices apply. We do not control its forms, logs, cookies, retention, or security.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs on their systems under their policies, not within the county or state records portals described here.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may pass to service providers that perform a function or to an authority with lawful process.
- Search partners that process a query
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No website, network, transmission method, or connected storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof. Visitors should avoid submitting confidential records or unnecessary personal details and should use official secure agency channels when available.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us and request deletion of the material we hold.

Subject to applicable law and a reasonable identity check, a person may ask about personal information held by this site.
- Request a copy of personal data we retain
